CockpitSquare helps people discover hardware, share experience and learn from one another. These Guidelines apply to public profiles, posts, comments, setups, resources, marketplace listings and company submissions, alongside the Terms.
Treat people with respect
Discuss products and ideas without harassment, threats, hate, discriminatory abuse or targeted humiliation. Strong disagreement and criticism are allowed; personal attacks and abusive language are not. Do not encourage self-harm, violence or dangerous conduct.
Do not post sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, unlawful intimate imagery, graphic gore or other prohibited explicit content. Do not use the platform to facilitate crime, scams, malicious software or unlawful trading.
Protect privacy and be honest
Do not publish home addresses, private messages, contact details, identity documents, credentials or other personal information without a proper basis. Remove private details from screenshots and images before posting.
Describe your experience accurately. Distinguish an opinion or suspicion from an established fact. Do not fabricate ratings, ownership, transactions, identities or endorsements. Make material commercial relationships clear when recommending or promoting a product. A content rule does not mean an automated system can reliably detect every violation.
Respect rights
Use photographs, descriptions, files, software and other material only where your use is lawful. Credit alone does not replace permission when permission is needed. Do not remove rights information to disguise unauthorized copying or upload pirated resources.
A product name or visible logo is not automatically prohibited. Copyright and trademark concerns require context. Report a concern with the relevant link and explanation rather than making threats or posting someone else's personal information.
Keep participation useful
Avoid repetitive unsolicited advertising, deceptive links, engagement manipulation and attempts to overwhelm discussions or reporting tools. Use the appropriate company or marketplace feature for commercial or listing activity. Disclose company affiliation when speaking on a company's behalf.
Do not bypass account restrictions, impersonate support staff, probe private accounts or storage, or distribute malware. Report security concerns privately through Contact instead of exposing other users' information.
Marketplace and company responsibilities
Private sellers should list only items they may lawfully sell and describe condition, faults, price and included accessories honestly. Do not list stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe or unlawful goods or disguise a commercial operation as a private seller. Keep availability current and ratings tied to real interactions.
Buyers and sellers should verify the item and counterparty, understand payment protections and avoid pressure to use unfamiliar payment methods. CockpitSquare does not guarantee the transaction or recover payments on your behalf.
Company representatives must be authorized for the company they represent. Announcements and external giveaway listings must be accurate and contain the information participants need to understand the offer. Organizers are responsible for their rules, eligibility, privacy arrangements, prizes and applicable obligations. Company status does not give control over independent criticism or moderation.
Reports, decisions and appeals
Use content reporting or Contact for policy, safety, privacy and rights concerns. Identify the material and explain the issue. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive evidence; suspected illegal imagery should be reported by location without redistributing it through routine attachments.
CockpitSquare uses automated tools and human review. Depending on the issue, action can include a request for changes, a warning, restricted visibility, removal or an account restriction. Serious risks can require immediate action. We explain relevant outcomes and offer the available human-review route while protecting private information and legitimate investigations.
If you believe a decision was mistaken, use its appeal option and provide relevant context. You can see the resulting status/outcome in your account; Contact remains available if you need help reaching the restricted appeal route. A reversal addresses that decision and does not automatically cancel unrelated restrictions.
Automated checks and admin review can miss problems. A visible post, approved file or verified badge is not a guarantee of truth, legality, safety or endorsement. Repeated or serious violations, including repeat infringement in appropriate circumstances, can result in termination. Private contact
Respect message requests and contact preferences. Do not send unsolicited promotions, scams, harassment, threats or repeated requests after rejection or blocking. Do not share another person's private or sensitive information without a lawful reason. Block unwanted contact and report specific messages for staff review. A report includes only your selected evidence and clearly limited surrounding context. Staff may restrict messaging or apply existing account restrictions after review.
